Welcome to my company and more specifically to my personal bio. Recently I have been watching undercover boss and I have found it interesting and rewarding because I have had to work every position within my company during the early years and as we have grown I have to admit-lots of rust had formed on some of my early day skills and knowledge of billings, collections, authorizations, etc. Just a few months ago due to staff changes I had to get my hands directly into these details again and re-learned what my talented staff do extremely well daily. It, like on the show-brought me back down to my roots and humbled me significantly. Hopefully you are looking at this website because we have come highly recommended to you or if you just happened to find us blindly through a goggle search-that is great also-but please know that this GREAT company got to where we are because of our employees. I have been privileged to lead them. Please know that I do personally appreciate that you have chosen, or are choosing us for your Physical Rehabilitation needs. Please say hello if you see me around the clinics!
I really enjoy watching sports-live at the event more so than from the couch. I enjoy watching my 2 boys get better at new skills, like swimming, hitting a baseball or just playing new games. What can I say--I'm goal driven. But the 2 most cherished things concerning my family is my quiet time with my wife, Julianne, and watching my boys talk about going to Daddy's work and wearing their future owner nametags!
What I like best about my job is that it has given me the opportunity to develop a company that improves the quality of life for my patients and community. I love the fact that through employment we are able to help employees (part of the Ramsey Rehab Family) grow and progress with their personal and professional goals. Yes, we ask them what their goals are and help them set some, if needed, and then work with them to help achieve them. Seeing them improve over the years has been very satisfying for me and the management staff. The nice thing about when a mature company grows is that it provides opportunities for people to move up within the organization and I am proud to say we do look inside first.

My physical therapy education involved not only the core knowledge taught in school, but the practical application of hands-on skills, clinical decision making and critical thinking under the guidance of experienced and well-established clinicians. With this training I have taken my experiences and knowledge of up-to-date techniques and built effective treatment plans for patients with all ranges of orthopedic diagnoses. Continued education is vital and learning, like in any healthcare profession, is constant in physical therapy. Each day I practice, I gain a new experience to build upon an already solid foundation. It is important to me to continue to grow as a therapist in order to provide my patients with the best quality care available.
I decided to become a physical therapist because I have personally experienced recovering from an athletic injury and understand what it takes to be successful in rehabilitation. I have taken that experience and focused my energy on educating the community and patients about prevention of injuries both in work and recreation. I believe prevention is the number one key to success.
I enjoy working at Ramsey because of the friendly working environment with co-workers who have a good sense of humor, and the patients at Ramsey are motivated and personally invested in their rehab.
Outside of work I love working on my new home and am looking forward to getting a puppy Daschund. I also love cooking; my favorite dish is asparagus soup.

I've been working in the orthopedic field for many years, and I really enjoy working with all types of patients. I feel it is very important to continue to learn and expand my field of knowledge to be able to provide my patients with the most thorough and innovative treatments possible.
I feel it is extremely important to give back to the community that I live in. I have been involved in lecturing and educating in sports injury prevention in the local high schools and running clubs and I am active in local community health fairs. I got involved in this area of health care because I find it truly rewarding to be a part of helping people come back to full activities, and possibly avoid injuries in the future. Education in understanding your injury and how to prevent future injuries is as important as coming back from your injury. Here at Ramsey Rehab, I feel blessed to be a part of a dynamic team whose sole purpose is to do just that.
I love working at Ramsey because I get to work with a variety of orthopedic injuries and local athletes. I really enjoy being a part of returning our athlete back to their sport.
Outside of work I enjoy running triathlons and playing piano. I also enjoy spending time with my family and keeping up with all the New England sports teams!

Clinical experience as a student and then working as a licensed physical therapist, has given me the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients. This included pediatrics, total joint replacements, cardiac, respiratory, orthopedic, and sports injuries. I began my career working in an acute care hospital where I witnessed first hand how general medical and surgical patients were able to benefit from physical therapy. Making the move to an outpatient physical therapy setting has allowed me to tap into a more creative side to treatments. The importance of this creativity has allowed me to develop a program specific to each patient. Through my experience in various settings I feel I have developed a well-rounded view of the impact of physical therapy has on restoring function, and thus has allowed me to develop my skills and to be a more effective practitioner.
I love working at Ramsey because of the exposure it gives me to meeting new people. Being part of this team allows me to get to know my patients and their interests, and incorporate this into their treatment program. At Ramsey we not only provide exceptional treatment, but also an atmosphere where patients can laugh and have a good time during their visits with us.
Outside of work you can find me on the golf course or riding my motorcycle.

I've always been interested in the health care field. I continue to work hard to attain the very best continuing education possible and I share ideas with fellow therapists through professional associations. I'm grateful for what I've learned and the skills I've developed because they have given me a good base on which to build more effective patient care.
I have been a PT for 13 years and did my schooling at Boston University, where I received my Master's degree. I have worked for Ramsey Rehabilitation for 11 years where I work as a physical therapist as well as coordinator of the student program. As the CCCE I help to schedule and place physical therapy students for their clinicals as well as high school students and undergraduates for their observation hours to apply to PT school.
As a Physical Therapist I am fortunate to help people gain the skills to help themselves. With increased knowledge of how their bodies work and function people are able to continue down a path of better health.
I enjoy working at Ramsey Rehabilitation because of the family like atmosphere in the clinic. The staff is great and we have a good time at work while providing superior PT services.
When I am not at work I enjoy spending time with my 2 kids, Sam and Mia, as well as staying active with exercise, hiking, and snowshoeing.

A life-long career objective of mine is to continuously grow as a physical therapist throughout my entire profession. The world of healthcare is always changing and growing. Studies are carried out every day and the field of physical therapy continues to advance. Being a part of health care is exciting and I plan to always strive for progress by gaining knowledge and learning something new every day.
I have been a physical therapy patient myself several times. That inspired me to enter the field of physical therapy, and am now pleased to be a part of this team at Ramsey. I enjoy working at Ramsey, being surrounded in a positive environment and always learning from others.
I feel that I offer an understanding to patient’s recovering from various injuries and understand the importance of working towards the patient’s goals. I aim to provide quality care in order to help patients have successful outcomes and achieve their goals.
In my free time I like to be outside, whether it is at the beach, hiking, or snowshoeing. Most of my time outside is spent helping out on the family farm, growing vegetables, pumpkins and raising sheep.
Marianne "Buffy" Peznola, PT
Licensed Physical Therapist

After my graduation from UMASS Lowell, I spent numerous years working with physical therapy in both the Orthopedic and Aquatic areas. Once I started my family I took some time off from working to spend with my children. Recently I have gotten back into working and I'm very happy I did. Within the field of physical therapy my interests lie within Orthopedics and specifically sports related injuries.
As far as working at Ramsey, I really enjoy the open clinic design allowing us to learn from each other and interact with other therapists and patients. It has been a great return to work at Ramsey with a very supportive staff.
Outside of work I enjoy running and have been playing in various soccer leagues, both indoors and outdoors, for over 10 years.

One of the most important things I can do as a PT is to teach patients how to help themselves. I provide the tools: an understanding of the problem, stretching and strengthening exercises and manual therapy to fix the problem, and postural techniques to prevent future or compensatory flare-ups. Then when a patient is discharged from therapy they can continue to improve and prevent future injuries.
I love working at Ramsey because everyday I am making someone better. Relieving their pain, increasing their motion, improving their function...helping people get back on track. There's a great personal reward and satisfaction that comes from that.
At Ramsey, we have a pretty diversified staff from the sense of schools attended and experience. It's great to work in an environment where you can learn from your co-workers and bring a more well-rounded approach to your treatment.
Outside of work, I'm a full-time mom to two beautiful young boys. We love to hike, bike, play ball, and generally keep active as a family.

I love working at Ramsey because we all have diverse interests and specialties, we all have our own "niche". Whether someone needs help with orthotics or strengthening their golf game, there is always someone here who can help. There is always a team effort present in our care, with the goal always being getting the patient back to their prior level(s) of functioning.
When I'm not working, I am a rock climber and enjoy hiking with my family.

Physical Therapy encompasses many areas of interest for me. I have always been fascinated by the body and it's many integrated systems. Continued learning and creativity to enhance my personal and professional growth is a must. Every day, I learn more and more. It is exciting to me to be in a place that is never the same from day to day. Every day at Ramsey Rehab is a total challenge.
One of my favorite things about being an employee at Ramsey Rehab is the ability to empower my patients on a daily basis. We share our knowledge, we teach proper techniques, and we motivate you to make use of all resources to achieve your personal goals. We have the ability to not only help patients with their pain, but also improve them as a complete person.
When I'm not working at Ramsey, I enjoy several different hobbies. I tend to describe myself as "addicted" to golf. I love the game, the sport itself, and mastering the techniques required to play. I also enjoy being a part of a local band "Five Hole", playing the drums.

I look forward to each day knowing that I will have the chance to not only learn and experience more, but make a difference in the lives of my patients. Having knowledge and the appropriate skills is a big part of a patient's treatment, but that is just a part of what makes a great and successful treatment. I feel that one on one attention that patient, their life, and their feelings is key. This is what makes the treatment a memorable experience, which leads to success for everyone.
My favorite thing about working at Ramsey is having the opportunity to work with the amazing children in the North Middlesex School System. It is so fulfilling to not only watch but also help a child progress, meet, and succeed in working toward their goals. Just their smiles make it all worth it!
When I am not at work I spend all my time with my two adorable daughters and my loving husband. I love shopping, running, working out, hiking, and reading.

Being able to be active with continuing my education to allow me to be able to provide people with the most current information on ways to manage health and wellness is very important to me. To be an involved and an active participant in organizations that enhance the healthcare field allows me to stay on the cutting edge of education. A lifetime and lifestyle commitment to being the best I can be, physically and spiritually, both for myself and the benefit of others is what makes me tick.
Having the ability and knowledge to help people feel better is the most rewarding. Working side by side with a large pool of professional caring people with like mindset is the icing on the cake! Many companies say they support your ideas, Ed Ramsey demonstrates it every day, and that is what sets this company apart from the others. Great people, doing good work...together!
I have been happily married for 30+ years! Proud mom of twin girls and one grandson. Am the seeker of new and exciting adventures in this phase of my life.

People come to therapy because they are injured and need to return to work or their normal routines. I believe that therapy should mimic your everyday needs. The main focus of physical therapy should be functional training to get you back in shape for your needs. You may get strong but if you don't know how to carry a heavy load correctly or repeatedly squat at work, then you are no better off. Here at Ramsey, we will teach you proper techniques and ways to protect yourself and prevent re-injury.
I love working at Ramsey because I get to see my patients frequently, observe their progress, and help them get back to doing the things that they love. My ultimate goal is to help patients return to work, sports, and their leisure activities fully.
Outside of work I love hiking and snow shoeing with my two dogs. I like to keep myself busy and moving!

I have always considered myself to be a people person, and have always wanted to help others. When I started to look into what I wanted to do for my life, I found out that Physical Therapists help people everyday. That was a true interest for me. A career in Physical Therapy allows me to meet and help a wide variety of individuals on a daily basis. Everyday is a different day and I enjoy them all when I can help someone get better from their problems and allow them to move on with their lives.
I love being a part of Ramsey because of the variety of patients we have here. At one moment I could be working with a 10 year old child and the next have a 90 year old woman in the pool, its rewarding to know I can help people at various stages of their lives.
Outside of work I spending time with my family at the beach and snowboarding.
