I became interested in physical therapy because I wanted to help people recover from injury, but while I was going through my PT program I was exposed to research in the Quinnipiac Motional Analysis Laboratory. I saw an avenue to help people by being a PT but also progress treatment paradigms through research. I also have always wanted to know why; why do people get injured, why do they get better, and why do we treat the way we do (and could we be better)? I am doing my PhD at UMass Amherst to help answer those questions and make an impact on the profession of physical therapy. I look forward to continuing to help people recover from injuries throughout my career through an evidence based approach, and advance the knowledge of our profession. In my spare time, I spend time with my wife and young daughter, hike, run and read for pleasure.
