I have been a physical therapist for 16 years and have worked in many settings including inpatient/outpatient, SNF, colleges, home care, aquatics and there has always been one constant denominator; helping people get better. Physical therapy was a second degree for me, the first being a fifth grade teacher, and I was surprised to see how much being a teacher was similar to being a PT. We empower, educate and use certain skill sets when rehabilitating patients with the ultimate goal being to get them more active, healthier and functionally independent.
I came to Ramsey for many reasons,a supportive and fun staff, wonderful working environment, open clinic setting but most importantly my love for aquatic physical therapy. The power of water when rehabbing any patient is highly under utilized in the health care community and it is my passion to treat as many differential diagnoses as possible whether it be LBP, a complicated RTC repair or an ankle fracture. I am excited to be part of this collaboration of incredibly skilled clinicians and look forward to learning from all of them. Outside of the work place I enjoy long hikes with my husband of 32 years and springer spaniels, vacationing with my 2 boys , running, working out and golfing.
